The Airpoints program has been around a long time, and many New Zealanders have experienced how flying with Air New Zealand, or by swiping their Airpoints card at everyday retailers can unlock the power of more travel. 

Members perception of the program is isolated to what they know of Airpoints, and what they’ve experienced. We’ve seen that the more people know of the rewards and benefits of the program, the greater levels of participation they have within it. But there is a lot of value within the program that members aren’t aware of.  

One of the key objectives was to better align the Airpoints and Air New Zealand brands – not only in tone but also by using storytelling to convey specific aspects of the Airpoints Program. It made perfect sense for us to feature Elsi and her dad from the latest Air New Zealand brand campaign, building on their connection with the airline. We’re thrilled with how these new spots continue their story and deepen that relationship. 

A campaign focused around Shairpoints will be the first member benefit highlighted. Shairpoints allows members to combine Airpoints Dollars™ with friends and family, so they can get to their dream trip faster. 

We’ll then release the second instalment that showcases the young girl & her Dad traveling and experiencing the comfort and ease of the Air New Zealand lounge and premium check-in having just reached Airpoints Gold tier.
